1. Information we collect

Asmodeus may collect and store the following information depending on which features are enabled in a server:

• Discord identifiers: user IDs, guild/server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, message IDs.
• Configuration data: server settings (e.g., prefixes, feature toggles, templates, reaction-role mappings).
• Moderation records: actions such as ban/unban, kick, timeout/untimeout, jail/unjail, warnings, and related logs.
• Reports/flags: user reports, provided context text, attachments (e.g., URLs), timestamps, and the IDs needed to route reports.
• Optional content (only if a feature stores it): message content for features like snipes/transcripts/logging, if enabled by the server.

2. How we use information

• To provide bot functionality (moderation actions, logging, configuration, and server utilities).
• To generate embeds, logs, reports, and audit-style records requested by server staff.
• To prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and enforce limits/permissions.

3. Legal basis / consent

Server administrators control whether to add Asmodeus to a server and which features are enabled. By using Asmodeus in a server, you acknowledge that server staff may enable features that store moderation records or message-related data for legitimate server administration.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the bot (e.g., Discord platform APIs) or to comply with applicable law.

5. Data retention

Retention depends on the feature:

• Configuration data is kept while the bot is in the server (and may be deleted after removal).
• Moderation logs and reports are retained as needed for server administration.
• If the bot stores message content (e.g., snipe/transcripts), it is retained only for the configured time window or until it is rotated/deleted by the bot’s storage rules.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect stored data (e.g., access controls and limiting what is stored). No method of storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and deletion requests

Server administrators may request a copy of, or deletion of, server configuration and logs that Asmodeus stores for that server, subject to reasonable verification and technical limits.

8. Children’s privacy

Asmodeus is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal information through Asmodeus, contact us to request deletion.
